Brandt Affixing goes “GREEN”
Brandt Affixing has always been an environmentally conscious energy consumer. Over the past two years, we have implemented several “green initiatives” to reduce our own carbon footprint, and to help others to do so also. Here are some of the highlights of our “Go Green” initiative.
- Participated in a pilot recycling program designed to take silicone label liner and other traditionally non-recyclable products, and transform them into fuel pellets for use in cement kilns. - Developed several recyclable or biodegradable card products with laminates made from corn instead of fossil fuels.
- Several years ago we switched the majority of our plastic card material we used to make LASER CLEAN CARDS™ to a plastic that contains 40% Post Consumer Waste, specifically, recycled milk jugs, soda and water bottles.
- Instituted an aggressive paper recycling program. In 2009, we recycled over 68,000 pounds of paper and corrugated. That is over 34 tons of paper which saved 102 cubic yards of paper from ending up in area landfills.
Whatever It Takes!
If you have an opportunity to tour Brandt Affiixng, you will see this message featured prominently throughout our facility. From posters, to scratch pads, signs and t-shirts and even e-mail signatures, the “Whatever It Takes” message is everywhere. Our “Whatever It Takes” initiative started out as a reiteration of our Quality Control measures and was originally intended as an internal campaign, but quickly morphed into a battle cry and “mini – mission statement” which all of us at Brandt Affixing have embraced. So, what does “W.I.T.” mean?
Stated simply, it means that our commitment to giving you the highest quality products, most competitive prices and the best customer service in the industry is unmatched. It means that we put you, our customer FIRST in everything we do. It means that we will do whatever it takes to continue to serve you and help you grow your business.
How will we do it? It starts with our people – we have been blessed with the most caring and knowledgeable customer service and production employees in the industry, each of whom is ready to do whatever it takes. Our relationships with our key vendors are stronger than ever. Our commitment to quality has never been higher. But most importantly, our commitment to you, our valued customer is unwavering.
