Laser Clean cards™ are our most popular card-form product, because they offer the right combination of printing flexibility, material choices, and laser compatibility. Like other card-form products, Laser Clean cards™ are affixed to a carrier form, and then removed after the card and carrier have been variably printed on a laser or impact printer. A unique feature of Laser Clean cards™ is that neither the card, nor the form retain any exposed adhesives after the two are separated. The card holds tightly to the form as it passes through the printer, yet releases cleanly from the form, without any adhesive residue.
Most Laser Clean cards™ are the same size as a credit card, which measures 3 3/8" (W) x 2 1/8" (L). Laser Clean cards™ can be printed in up to 8 colors, including 4 color process on front or back. For laser printed applications, we recommend adding a U.V. varnish to protect the ink color. (This utilizes one of the eight available print stations.)
Here is a partial list of some of the more popular Laser Clean materials. Keep in mind that these materials can be combined with various available release liners to create a card to meet your customer's unique needs.
TAG (paper): Available in 8 pt. or 10 pt. stocks, are ideal for low-cost, temporary cards, where durability is not a priority. Recommended for most printers, including impact and laser printers.
VINYL: A very durable and flexible material which can be custom-coated for both laser and impact printed applications. Ideal for impact printed cards, and suitable for many sheet fed and continuous laser printers. Vinyl is available in 8 mil or 10 mil thickness
with a gloss or smudge-proof (matte) finish.
"POLY-LASER": (NEW!!!) A unique, highly heat resistant material that is specially top-coated for laser receptivity. This stock comes in 5 mil or 7 1/2 mil thickness, and is ideal for most laser printed applications. Excellent durability, and toner anchorage. Very good print quality, and suitable for even the hottest laser printers.
Samples of all materials are available for immediate delivery.
Test run materials are available at no charge, and often available for immediate delivery. (Brandt Affixing Inc. highly recommends performing test runs on any new application, to insure that our products will meet your customer's expectations.
For this reason, we do not charge for test runs.) |
