Integrated cards are one of the most recent innovations in laser-compatible card technology. Integrated cards are created by printing the card image directly on the continuous form carrier. The form is then spot laminated on the back with a patented laminating film and subsequently die-cut. The result is a card which peels out of the carrier, and is produced as a by-product of the form. An optional top laminate can be added to increase the thickness and durability of the card. There are several different laminates to choose from, each designed for a specific print application.

Integrated cards offer several advantages over traditional card-form combinations. Integrated cards are easily fed through a laser printer, because the card does not sit on top of a carrier form; it is a part of the form. Integrated cards are less bulky, which means they will stack and feed better through most sheet fed printers. Typically, integrated cards can be produced more quickly than "tipped-on" or Laser Clean™ cards, because the process of printing cards is eliminated. Additionally, integrated cards provide an exact ink match between the card and form because they are printed at the same time, using the same form press.

Integrated cards are less durable than "tipped-on" cards or Laser Clean™ cards. However, laser compatible laminates can be added to the front of the card for increased durability and enhanced print image.
